Our community-based program provides an option for busy married couples to mentor a child by simply including a child in the life you are already living!
As a Big Couple, both individuals can become Bigs to a child (Little) in the Big Brothers Big Sisters program. Each married couple is matched in a two-to-one relationship with a Little. Big Couples can do activities all together and/or each can share time with the Little individually. The match participates in activities throughout the community, and they continue to receive the professional support and guidance of the Big Brothers Big Sisters staff. This is a great way for couples to spend time together while also changing the life of a child. The Little benefits from adding two new caring people into his / her life and seeing firsthand how two adults interact in a healthy, loving relationship. The Big Couple program is perfect for any married couple, but often interests younger married couples or the “empty nesters” with grown children.
